Built my frame saw

Built my frame saw

April 17, 2006

I need to resaw wide boards, and my band saw will only cut up to about 90 mm. After trying to use my big Ryoba with mixed success, I found how build a frame saw on this nice page, and made my own, not quite as neat, but it works. I used it to cut a 300mm wide board of basswood (linden, tilleul). Gives a good workout too.

Done! Still need to clean up with the scrub plane, then jack plane.
